Please note that the data here is under substantial revision; for example, an early member's full name may only be apparent after a paper is found with the complete name on it. The approach here is 'successive refinement', in which data from more informative records gradually is used to work out complete information. Another aspect of working from records is that only the data that has been found on records surveyed to date is included.
